SoftWave Therapy in Stonebridge, Saskatoon
When stubborn pain hangs on or a new injury needs to heal fast, SoftWave therapy can help you move forward. At Pawlovich Chiropractic, we meet you where you are and keep things simple and clear, with honest guidance and care.
How SoftWave Works
SoftWave uses a water-based applicator to deliver acoustic waves that compress and expand tissue at a cellular level, helping improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and stimulate your body’s natural repair process, including activating its own healing cells. Rather than only managing symptoms, SoftWave is designed to promote recovery at the source.
Your first visit is a 30-minute Discovery Visit ($69) that includes a consultation, precise “mapping” of irritated areas, and an initial SoftWave session. This visit helps us determine if you are a good candidate while also starting the healing process. We take time to understand your condition and explain how this approach may help in your specific case.
During the mapping process, you may feel tenderness in areas that are irritated, while healthy tissue typically produces little to no sensation. Once identified, treatment is applied at a slightly higher therapeutic level to begin the healing process.
At the end of your visit, we will let you know if you are a candidate and, if appropriate, recommend a personalized treatment plan with clear expectations around timing, visits, and cost.
Who It’s For and What It Feels Like
SoftWave is well suited for chronic issues that have not responded to other care, as well as newer soft-tissue injuries where faster recovery is important. It works differently than many traditional approaches by helping stimulate healing within the tissue itself rather than only addressing symptoms.
It’s been particularly effective for areas like the shoulders and knees, which are often difficult to resolve, but it is also used across many joints and soft tissues throughout the body. During your visit, we will explain how treatment applies to your condition and what kind of response you may expect.
During the scan, irritated areas may feel tender while healthy tissue produces little to no sensation. Most patients describe the sensation as uncomfortable in certain spots, but not painful. Please wear clothing that allows for easy access for skin contact in the area being treated. SoftWave can be used on its own or in conjunction with chiropractic care. If we recommend combining approaches, we will explain how each part supports your recovery.
Conditions Commonly Treated
SoftWave has shown strong results for a range of chronic and acute conditions, especially those that have been difficult to resolve.
Common areas we treat include:
- Shoulder and knee pain
- Elbows, wrists, and hands, including carpal tunnel symptoms
- Hips, low back, and neck issues
- Ankles, feet, and Achilles tendon concerns
- Sciatic-type pain, rib discomfort, and arthritic joints
Costs, Coverage, and Next Steps
Your recommended plan and number of visits depend on your specific findings, as there is no one-size-fits-all approach. SoftWave is not typically a one-time treatment, since it supports healing over a series of visits.
We will review timelines, visit fees, and how your health benefits may apply during your Discovery Visit. Many extended health plans partially or fully cover treatment, although we do not direct-bill for SoftWave.
What Our Patients Say
-
The reason I came to softwave was I had constant pain in my hands and wrists, everything I tried only gave temporary relief. The pain level was consistently between a 4-6 out of 10.
I had to wear wrist supports to ride a bike, to go golfing, to go fishing. I am an Electrician and it made it hard to even want to work.
I noticed a big difference after my third treatment. Before if I terminated a 200A Service my pain would be about a 7-8 out of 10 for 2 or 3 days after. After my third treatment, I terminated not 1 but 2 @ 200A Services in one day. I noticed I had more gripping strength and the next day I had NO pain. No pain in my hands or wrists, first time in years.
After the full 6 treatments I can honestly say I don’t feel any of the pain I did before.
Thank-you Softwave for allowing me to continue working, and enjoying life.

For almost 3 years I have had a lot of pain from Moderate to severe degenerative osteoarthritis, first in 1 knee then the other. I could walk with canes or a walker for short periods of time with much pain. I had to rest after 5 minutes or less activity time. I did not want to get knee replacements as have heard the good, bad and ugly outcomes of them and was hoping there were other options that didn’t involve bones being cut off. My son, daughters and I went searching for alternative treatments and after discussing them decided to try Softwave as the least invasive method.
I am very glad that I choose this option as from the first treatment the pain lessened. As treatments progressed I experienced less pain to the point that I can walk longer periods of time and get my house work done with less then half the pain as before… I have more energy do more for myself without having to ask for help except for heavier jobs as I am 76 years old…Softwave has made my quality of life better and hopefully will continue as want to be as independent as possible…all the best to everyone at Pawlovich Vitalize Tissue Regeneration. Thank-you for being here….

Since starting the software therapy in January 2026, I have nothing but amazing things to say about how much it has helped me in being able to move better and be pain free. I initially started going for treatment for my left leg (from my glute all the way down to my foot), which I had been having issues since August 2025. I spent so many hours at chiro, massage, physio and pelvic physio, but I would only get short term relief. Some days it hurt so bad, that I would be limping badly and it was affecting other areas of my body. The physical pain I was experiencing was affecting my life in so many ways. I couldn’t go for my walks, I no longer could do my strength training, it was affecting my job and I gained weight. After about my 3rd treatment, I felt like I was getting my body back to normal and the pain was just about non-existant! I could not believe it! I am absolutely in awe of this treatment and how much it has healed my body. I am now in the process of getting treatment on my left knee because I also had some swelling and inflammation, which was also causing me pain. I can safely say that swelling and inflammation is down and almost gone! I am so thankful and will be eternally grateful for Dr. Pawlovich referring me to this therapy. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner!

Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect after my first visit?
You will leave your Discovery Visit knowing whether SoftWave is a good fit for your condition. If you are a candidate, we will recommend a treatment plan and explain what to expect over the course of care. Some patients notice early changes, while others improve more gradually as healing progresses.
How is SoftWave different from other treatments?
SoftWave works by stimulating repair within the tissue itself. The treatment helps improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, and activate your body's natural healing response, which can make it effective for both chronic conditions and newer injuries.
When will I notice results?
Results vary from person to person. Some experience improvement quickly, while others notice changes over time. Healing often occurs in phases, depending on how long the issue has been present and its severity.
Is SoftWave covered by my health benefits?
Many extended health plans provide partial or full coverage. While we do not direct-bill, we provide documentation for reimbursement.
Am I a candidate if I have had a cortisone injection?
In most cases, yes, as long as your last injection was more than 30 days ago. We will review your history to confirm.
How new is this technology?
SoftWave is a German-engineered technology that has been more recently introduced in North America and continues to grow in clinical use. It's also used by professional sports organizations to support recovery and performance, reflecting its role in modern rehabilitation.
Is SoftWave a one-time treatment?
No. It is typically delivered as a series of treatments based on your condition and goals, which we will outline clearly if you are a candidate.
